New Job, Sophie's Care And Running Around Like A Headless Chicken..

Hi there!
Those of you who are my friend on Facebook or follow me on Twitter would most probably know by now that I am currently working at a new hotel in the city. It's still a baby really, barely 6 months old with lots of improvements to be made but still, so far so good.

I had looked for a nursery for Sophie before I started work. I decided to send her to a nursery less then 10 minutes away. Even though I had quite a few issues with the place I didn't really have a choice because that was the nearest to my apartment. After registering her and paying RM520 inclusive of one time only registration fee, my aunt offered to take care of her. Bingung sy sekejap... (@,@)

On one hand I would prefer my own relative to care for her. On the other hand I've already paid the fees. Aduih... In the end I called the nursery's administrator and said that I would like to extend her enrollment for a month and she agreed.

Although I could have made things easier for myself by just sending Sophie off in the mornings and letting my aunt give her both her morning and evening bath, I decided to bathe her in the morning before going to work. I feel that it give us a bit of bonding time together since I will be away from her so much. After all, she is still so young. Takut pula dia lupa sy ni or get confused on which one is her Mama Na'udzubillah.

So in the morning I would wake up at 5.15am to give Sophie her early morning feed (she is my alarm) and after burping her I would get everything that could only be prepared in the morning ready. By 6am I would wake her and give her a bath (sometimes this has to be extended to 6.30am. By the time I get her dressed it would already be 6.30am or 7.00am. Its time for me to bathe, put on my makeup and work clothes.

I try to leave my house by 7.30am, send Sophie to my aunt's place, pesan apa yang patut, drive off to work while aiming to arrive by 8.15am because my punch in machine is 10 minutes early (I start work at 8.30am). Memang I'm in a time crunch everyday ni. Kalo dulu I get a taste of what it's like to be a stay at home mom, now I'm experiencing the working mom like. Kudos and respect for all working moms out there for sure. Ini belum lagi anak sudah besar sikit and malas mo bangun early in the morning. Sigh!

Whatever it is I'm thankful to have a job and my daughter so I will do whatever it takes to make things work. That's all for now, Cheers!

Love,
Phoebe

Job Hunting.. And What Sophie Said..

Hello there..
I have been job hunting for the past week and after sending out a few resumes I finally got called for an interview! I won't say where but what I can say is that it's a hotel. Hehe.. After I got the call I immediately lifted Sophie up and did a Happy Feet Penguin dance. "Yay! Mama got called for an interview Sophie! One feet already in the door! If mama get the job mama can buy you better things, not worry about the rent or buying your milk. Can buy makeup...," I sang to Sophie..

Then when I finally calmed down something hit me like a ton of bricks.. I won't be able to spend as much time with Baby Sophie anymore! Oh tidaaakkkk! I knew this day would come. The day when I would have to send Little Sophie to a nursery in the care of strangers and will only be able to see her in the evenings. I won't be the first one to notice if she does something new, and will only be able to spend 4 to 5 waking hours with her (maybe even less if I have to work OT) Oh, my aching heart! *Can you hear my heart breaking and the violins playing in the background?*

I literally sat down and wept and another litany began. "Ala Sophie.. Kalo mama kerja sudah nda la mama dapat tengo Sophie ketawa2 and senyum2 selalu ni.. Nda la mama dengar Sophie goo goo or see you focusing your attention so seriously at your tiny fist as often as I'd like.. Nda la mama dapat..", and it went on and on and on.. Sophie looked at me with a puzzled look on her face.. Frowning ni, macam dia bingung napa mama dia kejap ketawa, kejap nangis? *Pedahal sama jak macam perangai dia.. Hehe..*

Then she smiled and squealed at me and I literally felt as if she said,"Ah, mama ni. Nothing to worry bah, I'll be fine". I started to laugh and cry at the same time. Yes, she will be alright Insya Allah.. Amin.. My baby girl is strong and brave and as her mama I have to be just as strong and brave. Baru layak jadi her mama kan?

Part of me is half hoping that I would get the job while the other half is selfishly hoping that I won't. However, deep in my heart I know that getting the job is for the best. That as long as I work with a sincere heart to support my baby girl, the shorter time we get to spend together won't matter too much because Allah will keep both of us in each other's heart and that she is still my little precious gem at the end of the day no matter what. InsyaAllah, Amin..

Aduh, emosi pula punya post ni kali kan? Nangis2 kunun sy dalam CC type ni post tau. Sy rasa ni orang sebelah sy ingat sy ni tengah gaduh ma boypren atau baru break ni. Hahaha.. Lap punya lap air mata, abis sleeve baju hitam sy kena smear BB Cream. Great... Story of my life.. Huhu.. Lain kali sila bawa lappy dan guna wifi okay Phy. Walaupun orang di sebelah ingat ko gila sebab emo2 saturang, at least free tu Internet usage. *Geleng2 kepala* Sigh!

Anyway, this is all for now people. Will update more on how the interview went. Cheers!

Love,
Phoebe

Kena Block?

Hello,
Heran oh. Bukan setakat nda dapat update status, 'Like', comment, message and friend request pun nda bulih.

At least kalo kena block ni, keadaannya sementara jak. Only for a few hours or days. Sepatutnya lah. As much as I hate to admit it, I love Facebook. Haha..

Anyway, post ni sekadar luahan. Terima kasih sebab sudi baca... ^^

Salam Sayang,
Phoebe

Merdeka! Dan Al-Kisah Banker Ala Detektif

Merdeka! Merdeka! Merdeka!

Banyak songeh. Kalo kurang di pihak diorang bukan main lagi macam Along minta bayar balik. Bila kurang di pihak kita macam kura2 mau bayar kita balik. Maaf kalau ada yang terasa. Ini bukan hasutan tau, tapi reality.

Eh, eh melarat pula. Balik pada cerita asal. Rupa2nya diorang sudah hentikan gaji sy 2 bulan lepas. One more Yay! Menari2 lagi sekejap sebelum sy sedar something yang buat sy rasa bagai dipanah petir. Oh no!

Sorry, I'm digressing again.

Kerja kah sekarang?
Me: *Suka hati sy la bah mau quit kah inda* Sy berhenti atas kemahuan sendiri. Inda, sy nda bekerja sekarang ni.
Abang Bank Rakyat: Sudah kahwin?
Me: *Uh, apa kaitan? Blur...* Sudah. (Okay, belum bah. Tapi sepa suruh dia tanya soalan yang bukan2? Sy jawab juga lah yang bukan2.. Haha.. Kotoh kena terek..)
Me: *Uih uih uih.. Men geratak ko ah. Rilek ko geng* Bayaran tu tiada masalah encik. Sy cuma mau tau macam mana caranya, kalau ada apa2 dokumentasi yang perlu follow up. (Chewah! Jawab macam kaya ala Donald Trump.
Abang Bank Rakyat: Blah.. Blah.. Blah (Bagi penerangan)

Kalo abang Bank Rakyat tu mau tukar profesyen jadi detektif pun ada bakat kan? Sy pun nda pasti soalan2 dia tu soalan standard kah atau atas dasar 'kepenyibukkan' (Wujud kah? Hehehe..) diri dia sendiri jak. Walaupun sy mau jawab dengan cara hampir memaki tapi sy tetap try jawab dengan berhemah soalan2 dia tu. Cool.. Cool.. Nda berbaloi sy rasa kedut2 usia singgah awal di muka sy gara2 layan sangat karenah abang banker yang perasan diri dia detektif. Hehe..

Until the next time. Cheers!

A Rant: Dumb And Dumber Government Clinic Style

Hello there,

Yesterday I went to the government clinic in my district and registered as it was my 1st time going there. Everything was fine until I was asked what my race was. Here's how it went:

Dumb And Dumber Scene 1
Nurse: Apa bangsa ko? (What is your race?)
Me: Indian Kadazan.
Nurse: Jadi mana satu laitu? Mesti satu jak. Ikut bapa lah. Apa bangsa bapa ko? (So which one is it? There can only be one. Let's just follow your father's. What is your father's race?)
Me: Bapa saya la Indian Kadazan. (My father is Indian Kadazan)
Nurse: Bapa dia lagi? (What about his father?)
Me: Datuk saya orang India. (My grandfather is Indian)
Nurse: Nah, India la bangsa ko. (That makes you Indian)
Me:*Thinks* %^*&##

Two things dear readers.  First of all, why must there only be one race? What about the Sino-Kadazans? Or Murut-Ibans? Or any combination that you can think of? Surely in the form there is the 'lain-lain'/'others' option for us exotic beings?

Secondly, while I understand that the nurse was trying to figure out what race I fit into, and that it is common to follow the father's or the father's father's race, can I really fit into the race of Indian? One look at me and even a 2 month old baby can see that I am far from being pure Indian. I am not being racist and wouldn't mind in the least of being called Indian if I was REALLY pure Indian. However since I am not of a single race it's not right to say that I am.

Dumb And Dumber Scene 2
(So which one do you want to put on the form, Indian or Kadazan?)
Me: *Thinks* $#@^%*&

She might as well have asked me to cut a vital vein/artery and drain out either the Indian or Kadazan blood coursing through it. Maybe I seem to be making a mountain out of a molehill but seriously, why on earth should I have to choose between the two? I am both. End of story. Dummy.

Dumb And Dumber Scene 3
Nurse: Apa bangsa ko dalam surat beranak? (What is the race stated in your birth certificate?)
Me: Tiada bangsa saya dalam surat beranak, bangsa mama sama bapa saya jak. (My race is not stated in my birth certificate, only the race of my mother and father)

She didn't believe me. She seems convinced that I didn't know what a birth certificate was and kept doing hand gestures of a small piece of paper. She also insisted that my race is stated on it. I know what a birth certificate is and how it looks like thank you very much.

To be honest with you dear readers I have pored over my birth certificate desperately numerous times to have a clear statement on what my race is because this is not the 1st time the question of what race I am has been raised.

The nurse in Hospital Tuaran has also given me a dirty look when I told her I was Indian Kadazan. There was also the time when I was registering into UiTM KK where this one lecturer said in a loud, pompous voice that he suspects that I might not be eligible to enroll into UiTM because of my father's race. In my father's face. He also demanded a copy of my father's surat Mahkamah Anak Negeri stating that my father is a Bumiputera. I still get pissed every time I remember that incident.

Dumb And Dumber Scene 4
Me: Dalam surat beranak saya bangsa bapa saya Indo-Kadazan. (In my birth certificate my father's race is Indo-Kadazan)
Nurse: Hah, Indo-Kadazan? Macam Indonesia pula. (Hah, Indo-Kadazan? Sounds like Indonesian)
My Mum: Dulu Indo tu istilah yang kena guna kalau peranakan India. Lagipun Indon baru Indonesia kan. (Last time Indo is the term used to represent Indian for those who were interracial. Anyway Indonesian is stated as Indon right)
Jaga... *In a mean, superior tone of voice* (Hey, there are Indonesian who use the term Indo too you know. Be careful)

In the end she wrote Indo-Kadazan. After raising so many questions.. After upsetting my mum.. If she were to write it down as it is anyway why on earth did she have to be so argumentative in the 1st place? Pelik kan? Alien kali tu nurse tu..

Well, I guess that's all for now peeps. Cheers and wassalam.

P/S: Click here for proof that the word Indo is used to represent India when linked with another place or race.

Phy the Pre-School Teacher (Well, Not Anymore)

Hi there,
During my time here in KL I had no idea how long I was going to stay so I decided to fill my free time with working as a pre-kindy which is only a lift ride away from my sister's apartment. It was kind of like a suicidal project because I never, and I mean NEVER had any experience in taking care of children. I am the youngest in my family and never took care of my younger cousins or anything like that.

During my 2 week stint I learned how to change a diaper, bring kids to the toilet (and clean them) when they want to 'shishi', coax kids into eating their veges and eating in the proper manner, bathe them (which believe me, is kind of  like bathing a pet cat or dog. Meaning you end up bathing too... With your clothes on). I got to know the kids, their temperament and how to handle them as individuals. I also teach them, fill their time with activities, etc.

Sounds easy right? Wrong!

I can handle the first portion of the job. It's only a matter of practice after all. Teaching them and maintaining their interest while trying to sync with their individual personalities was a total FAIL for me. Some were very attentive and interested to learn, others were easily (read: understatement) distracted. Of course there were those who wouldn't listen and becomes a bad influence to others. Oh, did I mention that I had to keep my eye on a 1 year old baby at the same time too?

Communicating was also a problem because my kids were international. I had Koreans, Indonesians, Malays, Chinese kids in my class. Most of them don't understand the English language, let alone Malay.

Trying to get the pirate-ish kids to participate..

Believe me, reading to pre-kindy kids is never this serene.

Them being spoiled little rich kids didn't help either. It's hard to teach them something that their parents don't instill in them in the 1st place. Some of the parents or family members would also do the 'security rounds' as I personally call them. I'd see them peeking through our windows, looking to see if we were doing our job well and up to their expectation. Which means we have to be super careful when we scold the children which we can never avoid.

Eventually I let go of the job. Some people might call me flighty, or even a quitter. After all, I did resigned from two different jobs in the span of 6 weeks. I don't see it that way at all. Before I resigned I did all that I could to see if there was any way, any way at all that it could work out for me. When I didn't see any way that could happen, I decided to not waste my time. After all, life is short and it would be a shame not to use it to do something more productive.

So that's what happened and how my teaching career came to a halt. I was glad that I did it because now I wouldn't be like a deer caught in the headlights in the event that I would have to bathe, feed or change a toddler's diaper. I am also able to rule out pre-kindy teacher from my list of potential careers.

So this is all for now. Cheers and wassalam.

A Merry Goose Chase...

Hi all..
My leave got approved! I am in KL right now, completing my 30 day notice. Let me tell you though that I had to make a lot of phone calls and got kicked from one person to another like a football before finally being able to get any definitive answers (and sometimes, not even that).

They really tried to make it difficult for me and I think if I hadn't persevered I wouldn't have had my leave approved and I would have had to pay one month's worth of basic salary. The person at Records Department in IPK told me that I cannot apply for leave during my 30 day notice. I felt that it was weird because I don't remember reading about it in the rules and regulations of resignation.

So I called Bukit Aman and they said the same thing. They said that my remaining leave days are considered 'burned' and so are my 4 days of OT. It was only when I called JPA that I got a different answer. The lady from the Records department at JPA said that I was eligible to claim a reduced number of leave (as I wasn't working until the end of the year) as well as my 4 OT days as off days.

I called Bukit Aman again and the lady there sounded subdued when I countered what she said earlier to me with what the JPA lady said. She replied by saying that if that's what JPA said then it's fine for me to go ahead with applying my leave. Cis! Pedahal mula-mula bukan main lagi dia minta puji. Mesti hadir tugas tanpa gagal lah, apa lah.

In turn, I called IPK Record department again and told THEM about it but the lady there still insisted that I must work during the 30 day notice because my reason for leaving was for getting a new job in the private sector. She kind of was telling me that I should just do it and not complain. In other words, forget about taking the leave. As if I would go down without a fight. No sirree!

I called JPA again and JPA said that the reason for resignation is nobody's business. I could resign for whatever reason that I wanted and it shouldn't and in fact cannot affect my right to apply for leave during my notice. Imagine if I didn't try to find out from other sources and just relied on IPK or Bukit Aman. I would be wasting almost RM1K. Dosa besar diorang ni tau.. Ei...

Itu baru pasal cuti, belum masuk bab gaji lagi. The IPK lady said that I must pay back my pay for the month of August 2011 and give back the RM500 bonus. I called Bukit Aman in the Salary department and found out that I was eligible for it since anyone who has worked from the 1st of January 2011 to the 8th August 2011 is entitled to get it. Pekeliling JPA bil 8 2011 or something. I had only started my 30 day notice on the 11th of August 2011.

Moral of the story? Sometimes the people that we ask are not really well-versed in rules and regulations as they'd like to think they are. Bukan mau pandang rendah but you can see for yourselves from my experiences right the merry goose chase that they sent me on?

Hopefully there will be no hiccups (although I have a niggling feeling that it would be otherwise). Anyway, I am so glad to be away from that dratted office and when I heard that OPS for road safety is going to start operating today I felt so relieved that I no longer play any part in it. When I look back at all the things that I went through in that small office, I'm surprised that I stayed on as long as I did.

Oh well.. What's most important to me now is that it is almost completely over now. Hopefully I will be able to get a better job with better pay in a better place among better people. Amin.. :)

This is all for now friends. Cheers!

Falling Apart And Dreaming The Day Away... And An Itchy Heart Post

It's been such a long time since I've blogged randomly. I've missed doing it but since the past two crazy weeks, I've been feeling tired. It's been a week now but I still feel it no matter how early I sleep. I feel exhausted all the same and I just can't bring myself to do much.

I'm guessing that this has something to do with my feelings of unfulfilled self-actualization. Feeling frustrated all the time, feeling slighted, looked down upon and misunderstood is not a place that I see myself being in. I am seriously asking myself this question: Should I stay or should I move on?

I don't want to make any big decisions rashly and prematurely. However, I'm not sure how long I can last feeling this dead inside. I feel so envious of those who get to follow their interest and dreams and make a successful career out of it.

I'm still searching what my calling is or my niche but I feel like I can't do that where I'm at. I'm always seem to be dreaming of  the day when I achieve 'enlightenment' in my career and take off to where I'm supposed to go.

I know, I know.. I feel that this is like, the 100th post of me moaning about this subject. Talk about a broken record huh?

So enough of this depressing topic. Let's move on to the fun part of this post which is Itchy heart which is basically what I am looking forward to buy or  at least which that I could buy.. So what has got me excited this time around?

Phy's Work Related Pet Peeves

During the past 3 months of Traffic summons-related discounts, I have been getting more and more customers coming to the counter. The past few weeks have been CRAZY busy and hectic with the discounts coming to an end on the 28th February only to be forwarded until the 10th March 2011 (still sore over that).

When you get almost if not over a 100 customers everyday, you're bound to meet 'special' people with colorful personalities and the talent to piss even the most saintly of Saints off. I have developed a few pet peeves because of these people and here are some of them:

People who give me a whole page full of car numbers to check and then walk away without paying anything.

People who write down a car number to check and then just when I thought we were done they ask me to check another car.. And another.. And another.. Why don't just write it all down in a list in one go?

People who VERBALLY ask me to check 2 cars at once. I only have 1 computer and non-photographic memory so give it to me one by one will ya'?

People who ask the why, where and when then argue with me that they've never done the deed so why were they fined? HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO KNOW? I'M NOT THE ONE WHO FINED YOU!

People who kick up a fuss over an RM30 fine. Don't waste my time.

People who shove their I/C, cash or summons across the counter only for it to land on the floor under my table among the tangle of wires. My clothes were not made for crawling.

People who ask for more than the 50% discount given. You ungrateful prat.

People who come to the counter banging their fists and throwing their weight around.

People think they can argue their way out of paying for summons by incessantly arguing or coaxing for more discount and selfishly holding up the line. Either you pay or move aside and let others pay yo'.

People who pay their summons that are worth hundreds... in RM1 bills.. Yup, you'd be surprised at the number of people who are retarded that way.

People who treat me like an agony aunt. This may sound mean but if you don't have the money to pay then don't park haphazardly,  don't drive when you don't have a driver's license and basically don't commit traffic related offences.

Those who can't seem to grasp the concept of 'Lunch Hour'.

I think there are others but these are just some of those that I can think of off the top of my head. Will do a second part if I remember more. Until the next post. Cheers!

Phy is Whiny and Worrisome...

I know I should be sleeping instead off tapping away at this time of night. Lord knows I need my beauty sleep to get through the next few days with my sanity intact.

Thing is, I got a text from my boss at around 9.30PM telling me that KTP has ordered all COPS counters to operate from 8.00AM to 10.00PM every single freakin' day. Even on the weekends okay! And I thought having to work office hours all of last weekend was bad.

This will commence on the 3rd of March 2011 till the 10th of March 2011. Why? To accommodate the public and give them time to pay their Traffic summons before the last date. Something tells me that this gesture will go unnoticed and unappreciated.

I'm predicting that the counters will be quiet as a tomb throughout the week since the public knows they have time to pay ant then they will come in Tsunamic waves to pay their summons on the last day possible.

I'm not sure how this will work. Will both me and my colleagues be working at the same time for 14 hours? Or will we take 7 hour shifts? If so will there be compromise between us or will he demand to get the day shift just because he lives further away than I do?

I has been looking forward so much to this weekend too. Had planned to watch a concert at 1 Borneo this Saturday with boo but I guess that plan is going down the toilet bowl. I had to cancel my trip to Kudat with friends too because I was ordered to work office hours last weekend.

Sigh! I thought only private sectors such as banks get this kind of crazy orders.Turns out I'm wrong.. I wonder how I would cope? I'll find a way I suppose. I always do if only I accept the experience with an open heart and mind.

All these thoughts are going around and around my head like crazy. I tried to think happy thoughts while lying down but I still can't relax enough to sleep. Oh well, I guess sitting in front of one's lappy and whining into cyberspace won't solve matters either..

I'd better be off to bed now. Who knows, I may be able to worry myself to sleep. Until the next post...

What Would You Do?

Okay, I have heard for some time now that Facebook will be shut down on the 15th of March 2011 because of the various downsides associated with it.

To be honest I didn't believe that they would. Shut down Facebook that is. I thought that the announcement is just a false alarm, like the time waaaayyyy back in 1997 when they said that Earth would be invaded by aliens  by October in that same year and didn't (talk about awkward).

I have to admit that I like Facebook. A lot. And if they close it down I am going to be upset because I've re-connected with long-lost friends and family members through it. I've built cities and farming estates. I've made beautiful islands. I've...

Okay, taking deep, cleansing breaths now lest I get upset midway though this post.. I know I'm not alone in feeling this way about Facebook either.

The most important question now is what should we do in preparation of this improbable Facebook 'apocalypse'? Do we:

a. Save backups of all our uploaded pictures, friends' email addresses and contact numbers.

b. Terminate our Facebook accounts permanently ASAP so that we can gleefully say 'Hah! I terminated my account first. I left you Facebook, not the other way round. How do you like them apples?' (cue triumphant laugh). Pride is a very fragile thing.

c. Re-activate our sorely-neglected Friendster / Myspace account (or shame-facedly create a new account for those who had terminated theirs).

d. Do nothing.

I will be keeping my fingers crossed and go with 'a'. How about you, what would you do?

Can You Hear the Violins Playing?

Can you hear the violins playing?

Because what better instrument is there to accompany this pretty depressing post where I drown myself in a pool of self pity. There will be a lot of venting and maybe a huge dollop of childish whining too I think. So if you have been walking on cloud 9 all this while I strongly recommend that you stop right here and turn back lest this post cast a dark cloud over you ray of happiness.

Remember, you have been warned… Let the wallowing begin…

These past two weeks have been pretty crappy for me. Stressed out and insomniac, I have teetered on the verge of losing utter and complete control. Not only did I have to settle two major undertakings, both of which are unresolved, a jack*ss colleague of mine had sneaked behind my back and made me have to put one of them on complete hold.

In a bid to settle this issue I seek counsel (as recommended by my superior) from someone who despite his eccentrisity, was (read: WAS) still a leader in my eyes only to be handed embarrassment and total humiliation, not to mention total degradation on a silver platter this morning. This so called leader did something so unprofessional in a meeting that if I didn’t have any shred of lady like upbringing, I would have marched into his office and smashed his teeth in.

A leader is someone who guides, leads and teaches one’s subordinates without singling out anyone and embarrassing anyone in public, least of all when that someone is not in the room. Right then and there any smidgen of respect that I may have for him is gone and never to come back again. To embarrass me is one thing, but to insult my superior and drag my department down as well? That’s pathetic.

The stress, lack of sleep and battery to my self-esteem in the short span of time has made me feel about a hundred years old. Add that to the feeling of emptiness that can only be obtained from doing a job one doesn’t like (okay, hate) and working in a place where people only feel remotely important when they’re talking about someone else behind their back, I can feel depression settling upon me.

Once again for the 2578th time I wondered, why did I move back to Sabah? Each time that question resonates in my mind I feel a stab of pain and guilt. I feel guilty because it seems disloyal somehow. The fact of the matter is I don’t miss living in KL and Putrajaya nor do I prefer both over Sabah. I just miss working in an HQ where there are better facillities, never a lack of resources and everything can be settled ASAP because the person in charge sits two cubicles to the left from mine. Is that wrong?

Oh well, I guess that's enough indulgence on self-pity. You guys have a great weekend and Happy Deepavali to all my friends who celebrate it..

Something Sneaky, A Discovery And A Union...

Olla...

The past week I have been pretty stressed out with 2 things and one of them is half way done. I just hope there will be no more roadblocks with that one. Now it's the 2nd one that is not settled and is making me super upset.

I've planned to go for a trip overseas and have paid for the plane tickets since early this year. I've invested so much money on this trip already yet a colleague sneaked behind my back and made things all complicated for me. He applied leave overlapping mine so now it's up to my big boss who to grant the leave to. Thinking about it makes me upset all over again. Argh!

After work I went to 1Borneo to buy a few things for my new rented room. From Daiso only okay, not Aussino or something like that. At the same time I was trying to forget that I have an As*hole of a colleague whose selfishness could very well cause me to lose over 1K. Anyway...

Since Deepavali is just around the corner I saw a booth opened by a few Indian youths selling Indian sweets and such. One of them provided henna drawing service so being a sucker for it I checked out the designs and decided to get one done on the back of my right hand. It was so cheap too, only RM5 for the design I chose.

I must say that I've seen better workmanship but she was persistent and meticulous so I must give her credit for trying.. It still turned out quite nice I think and she was gracious when I changed my mind about doing henna on both my hands to doing only one..

Tadaaaa....

I then started walking around at the basement and discovered a new bubble tea outlet.. Well, at least it's new to me. It's called Tea Box. For some reason I decided to try the Royal milky tea( I don't rally remember the exact name, only that it has the word 'Royal' in it) and it was goooooddddd.. I can really taste the tea and in a good way.

For me it gave Yoyo a run for it's money and it's cheaper too, only RM3.30 with pearl. I did take pictures of the kiosk and my drink but I took it with the camera on my phone and I haven't been able to transfer it to my lappy yet.  Huhu...

Happily slurping on my cold milky tea I went to the Times (in case you don't know, it's a bookshop) and lo and behold! I saw the novel Eat,Pray,Love... I was so excited because I had been looking high and low for this book since I saw the movie and it's always sold out. After reading the first page, which reeled me in I immediately took it to the counter and paid for it..

 I finally found you....

I'm off to read my precious book now... Or sleep... Whichever that comes first... Hehe...

Panda Eyes...

Hi there,

I've been having trouble sleeping for the past few weeks and I'm not sure why. Every night I would lie awake until 2am or 3am and fall asleep and then I have to get up for work by 6am. Argh!

I feel so tired and lethargic. I can't focus at work and my vision gets blurry. It's so frustrating to feel unbelievably tired yet cannot sleep. I need help.

I have to admit that there are two things that is contributing to this but I can't talk about it here. No, actually I can talk about one of the factors, just not yet.. Huhu...

Worst of all due to all this insomnia, I have developed spectacular Panda Eyes. No, I'm not going to post pics of them here. Thank God for concealers!

This is how I look like slumped over the COPS counter...
I joke, I joke.. Hehe..

TTFN.

Good night....

I mean, good morning...

D*mn...
