On My Wish List: Redken's Diamond Oil Shatterproof Shine

Hello there..

I was flipping through a magazine and came across an artcle featuring Redken's Diamond Oil Shatterproof Shine. This product is part of Redken's new Diamond Oil Range and claims to work by penetrating the hair and nourishing as well as strengthening it. It also coats the hair's surface with a layer of oil, protecting it from damage and giving hair a wonderful shine.

While all this claims seem to mirror almost every hair serum/oil treatment out there, what really caught my attention is the fact that this product can be used 7 ways. Among them are as a pre-wash treatment, mixed into hair conditioner and hair mask to intensify treatment and, get this, used on dry skin (body) to moisturise.

Wouldn't it be super cool if those claims were true? I know, I am probably being nerdy about this but I have never personally heard of a hair product that could double up as a body care product before. This is definitely going into my wish list of products to try as soon as I am financially able.

Falling Apart And Dreaming The Day Away... And An Itchy Heart Post

It's been such a long time since I've blogged randomly. I've missed doing it but since the past two crazy weeks, I've been feeling tired. It's been a week now but I still feel it no matter how early I sleep. I feel exhausted all the same and I just can't bring myself to do much.


I'm guessing that this has something to do with my feelings of unfulfilled self-actualization. Feeling frustrated all the time, feeling slighted, looked down upon and misunderstood is not a place that I see myself being in. I am seriously asking myself this question: Should I stay or should I move on?


I don't want to make any big decisions rashly and prematurely. However, I'm not sure how long I can last feeling this dead inside. I feel so envious of those who get to follow their interest and dreams and make a successful career out of it.


I'm still searching what my calling is or my niche but I feel like I can't do that where I'm at. I'm always seem to be dreaming of  the day when I achieve 'enlightenment' in my career and take off to where I'm supposed to go.


I know, I know.. I feel that this is like, the 100th post of me moaning about this subject. Talk about a broken record huh?

So enough of this depressing topic. Let's move on to the fun part of this post which is Itchy heart which is basically what I am looking forward to buy or  at least which that I could buy.. So what has got me excited this time around?

Itchy Heart: The Body Shop's Brush With Fashion Collection..

The Body Shop has launched it's new collection which is the Brush With Fashion and I've had my eye on this since when I first saw it in their brochures last month. I had checked at The Body Shop every week to see if it has been released here in Sabah since.

I haven't been to KK for the past two weeks so I'm not sure when exactly the collection was released. In fact I had quite forgotten about it until I saw it at Center Point about 2 days ago. Here's the collection:

 Two eyeshadows, two lipgloss, a makeup base and a cheek tint

The eyeshadows....

But the product that really made my heart 'itch' with the desire to buy is this...

Illuminating Face Base

(It has a brush on one end and the base is peach colored with light-diffusing pearl. Love it!)


...and this (but not so bad la this one, still can tahan if I was to skip it)

Tailored cheek tint

Argh! I've made a solemn promise to myself to not buy unnecessary things and as much as I'd like it to be otherwise, I know that these are counted as just that. Huhu... I've swatched it at the store though and I really, really like it. 

Now I'm wondering if these babies are worth taking a sabbatical from sensible spending... Hm...
